Moriarty Citizen of the Year Award.\n\n \nPreviously Canavan served as the Executive Director of the Springfield Public Forum\, one of the nation's longest-running public lecture series. In addition to non-profit management\, Canavan has held various human resources and education positions throughout her career\, including serving as Director of Human resources at Signature Inc.in Dublin\, Ohio and as a faculty member at Berkshire Community College.\n\nCanavan is a member of several Boards of Directors\, including Associated Industries of Massachusetts\, the Massachusetts State Workforce Development Board\, the Economic Development Council of Western Mass\, Baystate Health Foundation\, the Springfield Regional Chamber\, the Holyoke Chamber Foundation\, and the Springfield Public Forum.
